Hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday

Key Duties
- Carry out the full range of payroll duties including the processing of annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly payrolls
- Preparing and drafting documents such as payslips, P45’s and P60’s
- Processing Real Time Information (RTI) submissions to HMRC as required
- End of year processing and reconciliations including end of year RTI submissions
- Processing tax code changes
- Processing all new starters, leavers, absence, statutory leave and pay.
- Processing payroll reports for management
- Ensuring compliance with tax, NI and pension contributions
- Following and helping to develop processes for the delivery of payroll work
- Providing first line support for payroll queries
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships
Part A
The following criteria (experience, skills, and qualifications) will be used to short-list at the application stage:
Essential:
- Good written communication skills
- Five GCSEs, grades 5-9 (C-A*) which must include Maths (Grade 6/B or above) and English (Grade B/6 or above)
- Evidence of further education, for example: ‘A’ levels, B-tech, or NVQ level 2
- Good ICT and keyboard skills, including the use of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc)
- Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative with a can-do attitude
- Able to plan and prioritise allocated tasks within prescribed timescales
- Able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions
- Able to analyse information
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Desirable:
- 2 years relevant work experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- Full clean driving licence
