Accountancy Apprenticeship

A training salary commensurate to age, plus full training and related expenses will be paid for (inc books, exam fees, course fees, travel to college etc.).

Would you like to train with us to become a Chartered Accountant? We are looking for someone who loves working with numbers and has a great eye for detail to join us starting July/August 2024. Minimum academic qualifications are 5 GCSE’s grade 5-9 (including Maths and English) and 2 A ‘Levels grade C-A* (or their equivalents).

Training will be provided and paid for, including travel expenses, books, exam fees etc. As part of the apprenticeship students will attend blocks of training with our training providers First Intuition, and the remainder of the time gaining practical experience at our office in Sudbury, Suffolk. Students who pass all the elements of the training can expect to be qualified initially as an Accounts Technician (AAT) and as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA) by the end of the training period. 

Moore Green are authorised training providers for both the ICAEW and ACCA and have a long-established history of training students to become confident and successful accountants.

Part A

The following criteria (experience, skills, and qualifications) will be used to short-list at the application stage:


  1. Good written communication skills
  2. Five GCSEs, grades 5-9 which must include Maths and English, and two A-Levels, grades A-C, or educational equivalents.
  3. Good ICT and keyboard skills
  4. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  5. Able to plan and prioritise allocated tasks within prescribed timescales
  6. Able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions
  7. Able to analyse information


  1. Maths GCSE at grade 7 or A
  2. A level Mathematics, Accountancy or Economics or BTEC Business and Accounting, or equivalent
  3. Good knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, etc)
  4. Relevant work experience which demonstrates understanding of the role
  5. Full clean driving licence

Part B
