Accountancy Apprenticeship

We are recruiting two apprentices to train with us to become Chartered Accountants starting June/July 2022.

Training will be provided and paid for, including travel expenses, books, exam fees etc. As part of the apprenticeship, students will attend blocks of training at college and the remainder of the time gaining practical experience at our office in Sudbury, Suffolk. A training salary will be provided of £13,350 per annum which increases according to experience and apprenticeship level. Students who pass all the elements of the training can expect to be qualified initially as an Accounts Technician (AAT) and as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA) by the end of the training period.

Please submit a CV which includes GCSE grades, A level or their equivalent grades (predicted if not yet taken) plus any relevant volunteer or work experience you may have gained.

The following criteria (experience, skills, and qualifications) will be used to short-list at the application stage:

Essential:

  1. Good written communication skills
  2. Five GCSEs, grades 5-9 which must include Maths and English
  3. Two A-Levels, grades A-C, or educational equivalents (predicted if not yet known)
  4. Good ICT and keyboard skills, including the use of Microsoft software (Word, Excel etc)
  5. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  6. Able to plan and prioritise allocated tasks within prescribed timescales
  7. Able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions
  8. Able to analyse information

Desirable:

  1. Maths GCSE at grade 7 or A
  2. A level Mathematics, Accountancy or Economics or BTEC Business and Accounting, or equivalent
  3. Relevant work experience which demonstrates understanding of the role
  4. Full clean driving licence
