Nick Farr FCA BSc

Nick is the managing partner of the firm. He trained in London and joined the practice from Ernst & Young. Nick is one of the audit principals and is responsible for a widely varied portfolio of clients including solicitors, veterinary practices, agricultural businesses, charities, and retailers. He specialises in family companies.

Nick is a keen bridge player who plays both for Club and County. He is the General Secretary for Suffolk County Bridge Association and is developing a love of things theatrical with the local amateur dramatic society. He enjoys golf and cycling in his spare time and enjoys walking the family dogs.

Matthew Wilkinson FCA BSc

Matthew is a general practice partner, looking after a variety of corporate and small business clients. He works closely with the firm’s tax department, taking strategic responsibility for the delivery of these services to clients. Medical and other professional practitioners, hi-tech business, property investment and development companies and wholesale and distribution companies are among Matthew’s clients. Matthew trained in London after graduating from Imperial College with a degree in Physics.

In his free time Matthew enjoys a variety of sports, is an ECB level 2 cricket coach and manages a youth cricket team.

Vince Chandler ACA FCCA

I am responsible for our audit clients and specialist entities such as charities and handle a portfolio with a wide range of clients from personal tax returns to multi-national groups with a keen interest in farming businesses and capital tax planning. I have been with the Practice for some time and as a partner since 2011.

Outside of work I occupy my time collecting comics and going to rock concerts and undergoing the constant ups and downs of following Watford FC and the Las Vegas Raiders in the hope that one day one of them might win a trophy.

I also spend time as a Trustee to a few local charities with connections dear to my heart and am a member of Sudbury Rotary where I can be found helping with the annual Christmas Tree Festival.

Clare Anderson

Clare joined the firm in 2000, qualifying with ACCA in 2004. She is involved in a variety of areas including preparation of self-assessment tax returns, company and partnership accounts, book-keeping and audits.

Clare lives on the outskirts of Sudbury with her husband and two daughters and enjoys travelling, home improvement, all things Disney and spending time with family and friends. Family is key to Clare, and she will always try to blend or share her interests with those close to her.

Michael Hayles

Michael has been with the firm since joining from school as a trainee in 1995 and never looked back. Having grown within the firm and nurturing his own client portfolio Michael became a partner in 2023. Whilst happy to tackle any challenge, Michael relishes helping clients through the process of becoming a Limited Company and helping clients develop book-keeping & IT skills as businesses grow. He is also involved in a growing number of Service Charge certification assignments.

Michael lives locally with his wife, their un-regal Corgi, Magi, and a collection of cats. Michael is an enthusiastic (if not necessarily skilled) DIYer, a long time Manchester City follower and proud grandparent to his three grandchildren.
