Nick is the managing partner of the firm. He trained in London and joined the practice from Ernst & Young in 1991. Nick is one of the audit principals and is responsible for a varied portfolio of clients including solicitors, veterinary practices, agricultural businesses, charities and retailers and specialises in family companies. Nick is also the firm's corporate finance partner.
Nick is a keen golfer and plays bridge on a regular basis.
Matthew trained in London after graduating from Imperial College with a degree in Physics. He is a general practice partner, looking after a variety of corporate and small business clients. Medical and other professional practitioners, hi-tech business, property investment and development companies and wholesale and distribution organisations are among Matthew's clients.
Matthew works closely with the firm's specialist income tax, trusts and vat sections taking strategic responsibility for the delivery of these services to clients.
Matthew is a member of Colchester Round Table and recently completed a year as their Chairman. He enjoys cars, water sport and golf in his spare time.
Barrie qualified in 1973 and has been with the firm and its predecessor all his working life. He manages a varied portfolio of clients from retail to the service sector, from construction to farming. He is also responsible for the firm's own accounting systems.
Barrie has a passion for cricket, is a qualified cricket umpire and is chairman of the Suffolk Association of Cricket Umpires and Scorers. He is also a campanologist and Tower Captain of his local church.
